SET Project Workshops
As long as college students
are faced with problems, student governments will be there to advocate on their
behalf. Currently, students are faced with some overwhelming problems:
- tuition costs are skyrocketing;
- federal financial aid programs are in jeopardy;
- state higher education appropriations are shrinking; and
- 18-24 year olds are the least likely to vote.
In order to effectively address these problems student governments must be well equipped to mobilize their fellow students, work with decision makers, generate community support, recruit volunteers and develop additional leaders. The SET Project is dedicated to training student government leaders to be the most effective advocates so they may get real results for the campus community.
The SET Project provides a wide variety of workshops, briefings and SGA exercises to train student leaders.
