Consultation
As
a student leader you work hard to solve big problems from revitalizing your
student government to perform more effectively to securing more money for higher
education at the state house. For over 20 years the Student Empowerment Training
Project has worked with student governments to help them produce results for
their constituents. We worked with students from the University of Maryland,
College Park and Towson University to position higher education as a top priority
in the next state budget during a budget crisis. We provided the Associated
Students of Colorado with weekly consultation to aid them in the formation of
their twelve-campus state student association, enabling them to pool their enthusiasm,
skills and resources to have a larger statewide impact on higher education.
The Student Empowerment Training Project's consultation services will provide
your student government with the resources, advice and tools you need to win
victories on the issues that matter to students.

What People Are Saying About the SET Project's Consultation Services
Blake
Gibson - Chairman, Associated Students of Colorado
"The SET Project has been essential in establishing the Associated Students
of Colorado. Without their expertise in training and development, we would not
have been as successful in establishing a state student association. Thanks
to their work with us, students in Colorado enjoy an ever-increasing level of
advocacy, representation, and services on higher education issues. With such
large challenges looming in the future for higher education in Colorado, the
SET Project is helping ASC fight for a secure future for students."
Emma
Simson - SGA President, University of Maryland, College Park
"SET came in having done lots of background research on the particular
situation we are facing in our state capitol. They knew a lot about the key
players, the history of state funding and the culture in the state house. With
that, they were able to help us identify the underlying issues and how to best
go about lobbying for continued higher education funding in Maryland."
