On
April 28th, 2007 the Associated Students of Colorado (ASC) adopted
by-laws, becoming a formal organization. This has been the culmination
of months of work from student government leaders across Colorado. ASC
will be meeting again soon to elect its first leadership, create a
budget for next year, and choose priority initiatives for next year. At
the meeting, ASC also endorsed a proposal to the Colorado Commission on
Higher Education (CCHE) on creating a new student controlled student
fee and elected a special representative to the CCHE's important June
Meeting. The SET Project has worked with ASC from day one and will
continue providing their leadership consultation as they continue to
develop their association.
