Campaign Development
You
want to get results for your student constituents. The problems are easy to
identify, right?
- Skyrocketing tuition
- Not enough campus parking
- Cost of textbooks shooting through the roof
- Poor quality off-campus housing
- Unfair city ordinances that single out college students
- Decrease in campus services due to budget cuts
- No existing faculty evaluation program
- And the list goes on
But how easy is the solution? And how easy is it to get that solution implemented? Not that easy.
In
order to get real results, you need a real campaign. The SET Project has been
working with student governments for over 20 years to help craft real, strategic
campaigns that produce results. We worked with the Arizona Students Association
to develop a statewide budget campaign that resulted in reversing a proposed
tuition hike for all public universities. Recently we developed and advised
the Associated Students of Colorado and their twelve member campuses in their
inaugural campaign, helping them win an additional two million dollars in higher
education funding.
The SET Project will work directly with your student government to understand the problems your student body faces. We will help you research the problem and come up with key strategies to solve that problem. We'll work with you to develop a semester or year-long campaign plan, along with a week-to-week plan of action that your campus can use to fix the problem. If you'd like, the SET Project can provide ongoing support and training as your student government implements the plan.
Not only will you be able to tackle a particular problem that is plaguing students, but you will also be able to recruit more individuals to work with your student government, strengthen your image on campus and build better relationships with student groups.
